Yesterday, scenes of celebration on Mumbai's famous Marine Drive turned wild as Team India's t20 world cup winning parade spiralled out of control. Following the incident, reports of damaged automobiles, broken poles, and littered footwear were distributed over the region.

The throng shouted enthusiastically, wearing blue jerseys and singing patriotic phrases like "Bharat Mata ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram." However, due to the sheer size of the gathering, there were congestion problems. Scenes of chaos broke out among the crowds as a woman appeared to have choked to death. She was spotted being carried by a policeman through the throng in an effort to get to safety.

Witnesses claimed that fans were joyfully dancing on top of automobiles and unintentionally damaging them. A bystander who got ensnared in the throng described the scene as chaotic. Individuals were pressing in close proximity to the Team india bus. My water bottle, headphones, and slippers were all lost. In the chaos, some people lost their phones and purses.

Roads leading to Marine Drive were completely congested, causing traffic in South mumbai to come to a complete stop. The location was already crowded with jubilant individuals, so police had to issue statements asking people to stay away. After Team India's lavish celebrations for winning the t20 world cup, social media was a flurry of opposing views.

As one user noted, "Australia consistently wins the World Cup." They play hard, they win, and they usually go back without big fanfare. On social media, several individuals believed that India's lavish celebrations following their country's t20 world cup victory demonstrated how uncommon these kinds of triumphs are. Another criticised the lavish celebrations, pointing out that india is a highly wealthy and dominating cricketing nation. They said that compared to other cricket bodies, the bcci is far wealthier. They also mentioned how indian cricket players are regarded nearly as gods, which is in contrast to the country's enthusiasm for other sports.

Others drew attention to the fact that, despite the enormous fanfare that cricket players enjoy, Olympic medallists like Neeraj Chopra receive little public acknowledgement. They questioned why Olympic successes didn't result in a large procession or celebration. The festivities came to an end at Wankhede Stadium, when bcci officials presented the winning team with a sizable cheque for ₹125 crore.
