Following India's triumph in the t20 world cup, mohammed siraj, an indian bowler, received a thunderous welcome on friday as he returned to his birthplace of Hyderabad. He told reporters at the airport that winning the world cup was an honour and that he struggled to put his emotions into words. "India has been anticipating the world cup for a very long time. Very pleased with his victory now," he remarked. Here at Mehdipatnam, a large group of admirers gathered around his car and applauded as he waved to them from the sunroof. The indian bowler mohammed siraj travelled to hyderabad following his participation in the mumbai winning parade and felicitation event. Siraj arrived with the rest of the indian team in New delhi on thursday from Barbados. He met prime minister Narendra Modi with the rest of the team at his residence in the national capital.

On friday, Siraj's supporters flocked to the rajiv gandhi International airport in large numbers to offer their love and support. Siraj told reporters upon his arrival in hyderabad, "We had to wait 11 years for this moment so I am really happy." india won their first ICC championship in eleven years, defeating south africa by 7 runs in Barbados. Previous to this achievement, ms dhoni led india to victory in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.
