YS Rajasekhar Reddy: Unstoppable and Unflagging..!!

* Six times mla and Four times MP.

* Padayatra in 2003 and chief minister in 2004.

* In 2009,. a tough competition with praja rajyam parties.

YS Rajasekhar reddy is one of the most important leaders in andhra pradesh state politics. He entered the Legislative assembly for the first time in 1978 from pulivendula Legislative assembly Constituency. Rajasekhara reddy was elected 6 times from pulivendula and 4 times entered the parliament from kadapa Lok Sabha Constituency. He won every election he contested. After the first election (1978) in which the Janata party withstood the boom and won, he became a minister immediately. After that, three Chief Ministers changed and he got a place in those three Cabinets. After that, Rajasekhar reddy did not get any government posts for a long time. Between 1989-94, he tried for the post of chief minister but did not get a chance. In 1999, he was again elected to the legislative assembly became the leader of every party, and wrote many strategies for the victory of the congress party in the next elections. This padayatra brought a good following to the congress party and YS Rajasekhar Reddy. In the 2004 elections, YS Rajasekhara reddy not only won from the pulivendula constituency with a majority of more than 40,000 votes but also got the post of chief minister as the congress party got the majority seats in the state.

From 2004 to 2009, his rule as chief minister progressed brilliantly. In the 2009 elections, the congress party faced stiff competition from the telugu nation on one side and the praja rajyam party founded by chiranjeevi on the other. At such a time, many people wondered whether the congress party would be able to withstand these two strong parties. A shocking result came at a time when people were thinking like this. While the telugu desam party secured only marginal seats in the assembly, the praja rajyam party had to settle for the lowest number of assembly seats. With that, the congress again won a large number of assembly seats and came to power in 2009 as well. Also, Rajasekhar reddy became the Chief Minister. So many parties could not stop him in the 2009 elections.
