Akshay Kumar's popularity at the box office has drastically decreased since the outbreak. He has produced twelve massive failures and disasters in the last four years. Sarfira, his most recent movie, isn't doing well in advance, and it seems like it will be his next failure.

According to recent reports, Sarfira's advance reservations are appalling. Just 4,000 tickets had been sold by thursday midday amongst the top three national chains, Cinepolis, Inox, and PVR. According to industry experts, the production company may have self-booked or corporately booked more than half of these seats to preserve the image of their star and movie.

In Hyderabad, a city renowned for its love of films, Sarfira hasn't even sold 100 tickets—this is another startling statistic. Due to the poor advance sales, Sarfira is unlikely to outperform Akshay's Selfiee (Rs 2 crore) and Mission raniganj (Rs 2.5 crore) in terms of first-day box office receipts. Additionally, it implies that Sarfira won't surpass the first-day gross of lesser-known recent films like the horror-comedy Munjya (Rs 4 crore) and Rajkummar Rao's srikanth (Rs 2.5 crore).
 
A possible explanation for the lack of enthusiasm is that Sarfira is a remake, and viewers could rather watch the original, which is freely accessible on OTT platforms. Despite this, a respectable opening—at least in the double digits—should ideally be guaranteed by Akshay Kumar's celebrity. Sadly, this hasn't applied to his most recent flicks.
