According to reports, the congress administration has approved the construction of six flyovers and underpasses to control traffic near Hyderabad's KBR Park. The hyderabad municipal corporation-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>greater hyderabad municipal corporation (GHMC) has calculated that building six flyovers will cost around Rs 586 crores. According to TNIE, the civic body will first gather feedback and create 3D walkthroughs of the planned flyovers and underpasses surrounding KBR.

The influence of the flyovers on the traffic congestion, design specifications, and congestion at six intersections surrounding KBR Park will all be investigated. The report claims that the previous BRS administration implemented plans for the construction of flyovers and underpasses in a prime area of hyderabad under the strategic road development programme (SRDP), obtaining permission for the felling of a few hundred trees around KBR Park for the project.

Along with the relocation, the long-standing construction restrictions surrounding the KBR park had to be lifted. A GO from 2016 that removed all building height limitations close to the park was made possible by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) regulation.

Chief minister Revanth reddy is concentrating on improving the city and the neighborhoods surrounding KBR, Hyderabad's center of employment and entertainment. VIPs are frequently seen moving through these regions, and the state is certain that it will obtain the necessary authorizations from the center.

In 2015, the previous state government suggested building six flyovers and underpasses around KBR Park and other areas of hyderabad as part of the strategic road development programme (SRDP).

Around KBR National Park, an eco-sensitive zone (ESZ) of 25 to 35 meters has now been established. In 2015, the previous administration filed suggestions to the Centre, which were accepted in 2020, with intentions to push it down even further.

According to the Centre, since the trees were inside the ESZ, the local body shouldn't remove them from the park's initial border wall. It should be mentioned that 1,500 trees had to be cut down for the government to start an srdp project in the park.

In addition to flyovers, the previous administration has suggested subterranean tunnels in hyderabad, one of which would pass beneath KBR Park. jubilee hills Road number 45 and banjara hills Road number 3 will be connected by the planned tunnel. The concept was initially proposed when BRS was in office. It is supposedly back in the spotlight now.

According to previous reports, the other tunnels proposed in hyderabad are the following:

1. ITC Kohenur to wipro junction (via Khajaguda, Nanakramguda)
2. ITC Kohenur to JNTU junction (via Mindspace Junction)
3. ITC Kohenur to banjara hills Road No.10 (via jubilee hills Road No.45)
4. GVK1 Mall to Nanalnagar (via Masab Tank)
