The water levels at Hussainsagar have nearly surpassed its Full Tank Level (FTL) as a result of the city's intense rainfall on sunday night, which has prompted the officials to closely monitor the water level. The residents living in low-lying regions near Hussainsagar have also been informed about the development by the authorities.
 
The highest water level (MWL) of Hussain Sagar is 514.75 meters, whereas the FTL is 513.41 meters. By 7:45 p.m. on sunday, the water level had risen to 513.210 meters. After assessing the situation, Mayor Gadwal vijayalakshmi gave the go-ahead for officials to make sure that no lives or property were lost. Employees of the sanitation department and the Disaster Response Force are attempting to remove standing water at various points across the city, according to ghmc authorities.
 
A teleconference was convened by ghmc Commissioner amrapali Kata, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, and Deputy Mayor Srilata Shobhan reddy to assess the level of water logging in the city. "Emergency crews were dispatched to locations across the city where water logging spots were discovered. As a result, the water was removed and traffic was unaffected, according to a ghmc news release.
 
To periodically drain water from 140 stagnation spots, a total of 228 static teams, 154 monsoon emergency teams, and 168 dewatering pump sets have been assembled. The Commissioner has further directed the officials to exercise caution and heed the Meteorological Department's warnings.
