On sunday night, water seeped from the top of a prestigious Punjagutta multiplex cinema due to heavy rainfall. The event happened when viewers were enjoying the newest blockbuster film, kalki 2898 AD. Reportedly, following the halt of the film, patrons and theatre employees got into an altercation. They questioned who would be in charge in the event of a short circuit or an unfortunate accident, claiming carelessness.

The audience apparently called law enforcement after the management asked individuals who didn't want to see the movie to leave. The telangana Development and Planning Society reports that Borabanda (51.5 mm), Shaikpet (54 mm), madhapur (53 mm), and Serelingampally (58 mm) had the greatest rainfall.

The city saw sporadic drizzles throughout the day, which ended in significant rainfall in the evening. A yellow notice has been issued for monday throughout hyderabad due to the likelihood of similar weather. Commuters were encouraged by the Met Department to avoid unnecessary travel and to take safety measures in case of inclement weather. In addition to hyderabad, a number of telangana regions also had heavy rain on Sunday. Significant rainfall was recorded in Sangareddy, Vikarabad, wanaparthy, Gadwal, Nagarkurnool, and Mahabubnagar; Atmakoor and Kothakota in wanaparthy recorded 55 mm and 54.3 mm, respectively.
