On sunday night, hyderabad had a severe downpour that knocked everything out of balance. The extended downpours, coupled with gusty gusts and thunder, flooded the roadways, resulting in gridlock and major inconveniences for commuters heading home in the evening.
Alwal, Tarnaka, Bolaram, Malkajgiri, Kapra, Balnagar, Uppal, Tellapur, Marredpally, Secunderabad, Kukatpally, and patancheru were among the places with very heavy rains. Rainfall was moderate to heavy in almost every area of the city.


The telangana Development and Planning Society reports that Borabanda (51.5 mm), Shaikpet (54 mm), madhapur (53 mm), and Serelingampally (58 mm) had the greatest rainfall.
The city saw sporadic drizzles throughout the day, which ended in significant rainfall in the evening. A yellow notice has been issued for monday throughout hyderabad due to the likelihood of similar weather. Commuters were encouraged by the Met Department to avoid unnecessary travel and to take safety measures in case of inclement weather.
 

In addition to hyderabad, several telangana regions also had heavy rain on Sunday. Significant rainfall was recorded in Sangareddy, Vikarabad, wanaparthy, Gadwal, Nagarkurnool, and Mahabubnagar; Atmakoor and Kothakota in wanaparthy recorded 55 mm and 54.3 mm, respectively.

The IMD has issued an orange alert for several districts indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall. Districts such as Jangaon, Siddipet, Medak, and kamareddy are expected to receive significant rainfall. A yellow alert has also been issued for Adilabad, Kumram bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, bhadradri Kothagudem, Warangal, and Hanamkonda.
