In the post-pandemic period, the dynamics of the box office have shifted. The audience's rejection of average material has grown increasingly ruthless. But one thing that hasn't changed is the anticipation and buzz around a sequel. For the same reason, everyone is watching Shraddha Kapoor's stree 2, which might surprise everyone with how well it does at the box office.
 
After COVID, bollywood was having trouble releasing blockbuster films. However, bhool bhulaiyaa 2 was a welcome surprise, earning an amazing 14.11 crores to begin with. Even with Drishyam 2, there wasn't much of a pre-release hype on social media, but there was still a ground level buzz that contributed to the film's 15.38 crores first day earnings.
 
There seems to be a greater undertone in the case of stree 2, and anticipation for the movie is palpable. Although Independence Day is usually a great time to get a big start, the producers chose to release the movie on that day this year, which has made it more packed. This will have an immediate effect on the forthcoming horror comedy's projected first-day box office receipts.

Veda and Khel Khel Mein, two more highly anticipated movies, will open in indian theatres on august 15, 2024. This date was originally set for pushpa 2 and Singham Again, however both films were pushed back because of ongoing filming and post-production.
