The congress administration is preparing to hold the district Selection Committee (DSC) exam starting on Thursday, despite candidates requesting a postponement. The DSC, an exam for hiring teacher vacancies, will start in the morning with a test for Telugu-language school assistant positions (social studies and physical science), and in the afternoon with a test for Telugu-language physical education teacher positions (Hindi, English, Urdu, Kannada, and Telugu).

Similarly, there will be morning and afternoon sessions of the secondary grade teacher exam on July 19. On august 5, there will be a final exam for the positions of language pandit (Hindi) and school assistant (physical education).

The teacher recruitment exam will be administered using a computer-based testing format for the first time. As a result, the Department of school education has set up more than 50 facilities around the State. Up to 2,79,956 applications have been submitted through the DSC to fill 11,062 teaching positions.

Due to a shortage of preparation time, candidates for teaching jobs have been requesting a DSC delay. This is because a number of recruitment exams, including the TG TET, CTET, Divisional Accounts Officer, and Hostel Welfare Officer exams, were held in June. They also request a deferral of the test by citing the extensive DSC syllabus.

Additionally, the recruitment for Group II services has been set for august 7 and 8, which falls just one day after the DSC test ends. Since most candidates for teacher jobs also wanted to be considered for Group II services, these candidates questioned why the Group II test was scheduled to take place just one day after the DSC. As their requests for exam postponements were ignored, several candidates burned their hall pass as a sign of their displeasure with the administration.
