It was designed so that water from Godavari in the south of hyderabad Chityala and Shamir Pate would come from the borders of telangana and Maharashtra. He said that through this project water will be provided to 18 lakh 25 thousand acres in 13 districts. Under this, sriram Sagar, Nizamsagar, Mid, Lower, and Upper Maneru projects have also been connected. The telangana government has constructed a project to rejoin Godavari water in Godavari. Besides, three barrages have been constructed in the construction of this project namely Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla barrages. It took a step forward with the idea of bringing two TMCs of water per day from Godavari and greening Telangana. In total, 4,600 megawatts of electricity are required to operate the lifts in this project. It has gone down in history as a project being built by a state with the highest cost in the country.  At the same time, while the 16th gate of the 7th block was being lifted in the Medigadda barrage, which is the best constructed in the project, there was a loud vibration from underground. A large pit formed under the barrage and cracks formed. Due to this, the work of raising the gates of the project was stopped. Cracks at the barrage led to a debate across the state. It is said that if you see cracks like this before the Kaleswaram works are completed, you can understand the quality. In this way, if crores of rupees are spent and the project is constructed, then they are throwing dirt on the BRS government that it is not useful to the people at least. It remains to be seen whether the congress government will complete all the remaining works and provide water to the people of the kaleswaram project or else it will remain silent as to why we will not be able to do it.
