Another complaint has been filed by the telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) against YouTuber Praneeth Hanumanthu for allegedly using narcotics. He has been charged under the Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and Sections 79 and 294 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Investigator-conducted tests showed Praneeth had a history of drug usage.
 

Praneeth Hanumanthu was detained in Bengaluru on July 10 by the TGCSB, under the command of senior IPS officer Shikha Goel, and sent to hyderabad to face legal procedures.
 
Section 79 of the Information technology Act, Section 294 of the indian Penal Code, Section 67B of the Information technology Act, and the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act) were the charges brought against him.
 

The YouTuber's remarks were initially brought to attention by actor Sai Dharam Tej, who urged chief minister Revanth reddy to take strong action against Hanumanthu. He said the act was unpleasant and frightening and expressed concern about X.
 
In the meantime, the cyber security police asked the court to grant them three further days of detention so they could interview Praneeth in more detail. In this regard, notices were also given to Praneeth's attorney.
