Bad Newz collected more than ₹10 crore net on Saturday, raising its two-day total to ₹18.50 crore net. But a mere 25% rise raises concerns. Positive word-of-mouth films usually see a 40–50% boost in ticket sales on Saturdays; however, Bad Newz's modest uptick indicates that the unfavorable reviews are starting to have an impact.

The performance on sunday is crucial. Due to the movie's dependency on urban multiplexes, which frequently see a decline in patronage during evening and nighttime performances, Sunday's receipts may be flat or even lower. Booking patterns for the movie suggest that it could not be able to top Saturday's earnings, perhaps ending its first weekend at ₹30 crore as opposed to the ₹32–33 crore estimated.

This flat tendency is worrisome for a movie that is focused on cities. Even if the movie made a respectable amount of money for its medium budget, the general trend is really alarming. Monday's receipts from Friday's totals must decrease by less than 50% to maintain at the box office. industry insiders estimate that for Bad Newz to be a hit, its net revenue has to exceed ₹75 crore. Given the present trajectory, it may only bring in ₹60–65 crore.
