On social media, Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman's presentation of the Union Budget today has drawn a lot of mocking and criticism. Many are wondering if this budget is really for the whole nation or if the states of andhra pradesh and bihar are receiving greater attention.

Sitharaman made significant financial announcements for andhra pradesh and bihar during her budget address. The Centre pledged ₹15,000 crore for a number of projects in andhra pradesh, including the significant irrigation project at Polavaram. She said that additional money will be provided in the future to help with the capital and infrastructure development of the state.

The budget gave bihar a lot of attention as well, allocating 26,000 crore for the building of highways and investments in airports, medical schools and flood control initiatives. The chief ministers of andhra pradesh and bihar, who are partners of the current nda coalition, are viewed as political pressure, and the bjp is responding to their demand by improving infrastructure and economic prospects in these areas.

Critics, such as lawmakers and opposition figures like ktr in Telangana, have not wasted any time in characterising the budget as specially designed for bihar and Andhra Pradesh. They assert that the bjp puts the interests of its coalition partners ahead of the interests of the nation as a whole. With remarks like "Is this india Budget or Bihar-Andhra Budget?" going viral and memes based on the same theme going popular, the trolling has been more intense.
