There were high hopes for the much-awaited Union Budget with regard to andhra pradesh and bihar because both the tdp and JDU were crucial in enabling the BJP-led nda win with a narrow majority at the centre and hold onto power for a third consecutive term. Furthermore, it was implied that the Chief Ministers chandrababu naidu and nitish kumar will receive preferential treatment in this Budget based on the manner in which Modi and his cabinet met with them following the election results.  
 
As anticipated, Finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman ensured that the Union Budget partially, if not entirely, complies with the financial assistance requested by the alliance partners. The funding allocated for bihar and ap as well as the incentives provided suggest that the Modi administration wants to ensure that its allies are happy and satisfied so they will remain steadfast in their support in the days to come.
 
It is well known that ap Chief minister Naidu made many trips to delhi in the weeks following the election of the new administration, during which he asked for sufficient funding to be included in the budget to turn around the state's financial situation, which has been severely hindered by debt and a lack of progress during the previous five years. He asked the centre to step in and help with capital development, polavaram completion, infrastructure grants, industrial corridor establishment, Bhogapuram airport acceleration, and the development of underprivileged areas, among other things. It is stated that he has made a sincere plea for about one lakh crores for each of these areas.  
 
The Modi administration made it apparent what it intended to do with andhra pradesh, even if none of the pledges have come to pass. In addition to allocating Rs. 15,000 crore for Amaravati, they said that the polavaram project will receive top priority. Additionally, the Finance minister guaranteed additional funding in the years to come. She emphasised the state's adherence to the andhra pradesh Reorganisation Act and promised funding for the state's underdeveloped areas.

Sitharaman unveiled plans for sports facilities, medical schools, and new airports in Bihar. She promised to expedite their requests to international banks. A new two-lane bridge across the ganga in Buxar, as well as roads such as the Patna-Purnia, Buxar-Bhagalpur, and Bodhgaya-Rajgir-Vaishali-Darbhanga Motorways, have also been designated, totalling Rs 26,000 crore. There were also announcements of an industrial corridor node and a 2,400 MW power plant near Gaya.
 
In general, it appears that ap and bihar have benefited more from this budget than other states. The central administration seems eager to please its coalition partners by favouring Naidu and nitish kumar, two of Modi's allies.
