According to GVMC superintendent engineer (Water provision) K. ravi, Visakhapatnam would be able to finish its main drinking water projects with the support of the Union Budget's specific focus on enhancing the provision of drinking water in metropolitan areas. He mentioned that a ₹3,500 crore plan to build a pipeline from Yeleru Reservoir to Madhuravada via Gopalapatnam is now being considered by the government. This will meet Vizag's water demands until 2050, providing 186 million gallons of water per day to the city's residents.

Similarly, ravi claimed that the government is still awaiting a ₹550 crore project to pump water from Mudasarlova to Madhurawada zone. "I hope that these two projects will be carried out after the union budget announcement," ravi said to this correspondent. Regarding waste management incentives, chief medical officer of GVMC Dr. Nareeh Kumar stated that a special allocation in the union budget will support the construction of new waste transfer stations in Anakapalli and Bheemili, supply money for the ongoing construction of a new subterranean drainage system, and expand incentives for non-plastic alternatives.

Every day, GVMC gathers 1,200 tonnes of dry and wet waste, of which 40 tonnes are made of plastic. The union budget's key urban priority, housing, will start the process of creating cheap homes for the urban middle class. The projected ₹2.4 lakh crore grant for the PM Awas Yojana, according to CREDAI city president B. Srinivas, will stimulate the real estate market in tier two cities like Visakhapatnam. He emphasised that the income tax bracket change will raise the purchasing power of purchasers in the real estate market.
