The renowned Laddu of tirumala tirupati Devasthanam need no introduction. Just as well-liked as the Srivari Devasthanam is the Srivari Laddu. When they visit the tirumala shrine, a lot of people buy these laddus in abundance. That's how well-known this renowned laddu is. On the other hand, there have long been grievances over the laddu's quality. The ttd board looked into the issue after receiving several complaints and discovered that the root of the problem was subpar ghee.

According to TTD's Executive Officer (EO), Shyamala Rao, the contractor who provided the ghee used to make the laddus is facing consequences because it had lost its quality. According to ttd, only Rs. 250 crore of the 500 crore rupees invested on raw ingredients are used for ghee. ttd has sent the ghee for a quality inspection to the National Accreditation Board For Testing Calibration Lab. They found out that one of TTD's five ghee suppliers had been providing ghee that was of low quality.

The tamil Nadu-based contractor was immediately placed on a blacklist by the ttd and given a show-cause notice. Shyamala Rao, in the meantime, stressed the necessity of updating the ttd testing centre with cutting-edge equipment. He stated that the board intends to import machinery for this reason from other nations. Additionally, he announced the formation of a four-person commission to look into procurement loopholes for raw materials. He continued by promising to supply laddu with pure ghee in the upcoming days.
