This incident, which occurred on July 16 during the filming of Karthi's Sardar 2, occurred after a stuntman named Elumalai died after falling from a 20-foot-tall rostrum. Elumalai received a flood of condolences, and star karthi personally offered his respects.
 
Today, July 25, FEFSI is scheduled to hold a meeting to talk about the safety precautions implemented during action sequences and any further actions. It is said that, aside from a handful of production companies, several others neglect to establish appropriate safety protocols, such as deploying an ambulance and keeping a medical staff on standby in the event of an emergency. Even more, according to sources close to FEFSI, the stuntmen were not given even the most basic safety equipment.
