Today in chennai is designated as a "No Shoot Day" by the Film Employees Federation of South india (FEFSI), the organisation that governs workers in the film industry. This incident, which occurred on July 16 during the filming of Karthi's Sardar 2, occurred after a stuntman named Elumalai died after falling from a 20-foot-tall rostrum. Elumalai received a flood of condolences, and star karthi personally offered his respects.

Today, July 25, FEFSI is scheduled to hold a meeting to talk about the safety precautions implemented during action sequences and any further actions. It is said that, aside from a handful of production companies, several others neglect to establish appropriate safety protocols, such as deploying an ambulance and keeping a medical staff on standby in the event of an emergency. Even more, according to sources close to FEFSI, the stuntmen were not given even the most basic safety equipment.

FEFSI will probably talk about safety precautions as well as actor pay and the rise in production costs. Not only will movie shooting be delayed tomorrow, but so will tv serial shoots. watch out this space for more updates in this regard.
