A startling 22.1% of Telangana's youngsters between the ages of 14 and 18 have not registered in any school or institution, which is a worrying trend. This amount contrasts sharply with the 13.2% national average. According to the Socio-Economic Outlook 2024 figures, the percentage of males in the State who are not in school is 26%, compared to 17.4% for girls.
 

With 40.1% of youngsters between the ages of 17 and 18 not enrolled in school, the situation becomes dire for these young people. Sixty-eight percent of these older teens work more than fifteen days a month.

In addition to being adept at sharing information online, they are quite good at locating and searching for films, according to the study, which cited the rural annual state of education report for 2022.


Regarding only schools, a recent study by the Department of school education found that 16,683 students—11,405 in elementary school and 5,278 in secondary school—were not enrolled in class.
 
If a child in the age range of 6 to 14 never registered in school or left before finishing their primary education, they are regarded as having left the educational system. If an elementary school student misses more than one month of class, they are also deemed to be out of school.
 
The administration has been putting several strategies into place to close the gaps, according to the study.
