To address improving the operational effectiveness of the Dial 100/112 emergency hotline system, telangana director General of police (DGP) Dr. Jitender called a video conference with all police Commissioners, Superintendents of police, and Station house Officers.
 
Dr. Jitender stressed throughout the seminar how important Dial 100/112 is to maintaining public safety and guaranteeing an immediate police response.
 
In order to increase the effectiveness of the Dial 100/112 service, the DGP emphasised the significance of routine monitoring.
 
He asked the police officers to do everything they could to improve the emergency helpline's operating effectiveness.

On Wednesday, July 10, the telangana government named IPS officer Dr. Jitender as the director General of police (DGP), Telangana.
 
After taking office in the state in december 2023, the congress administration nominated Dr. Jitender as its first DGP.
 
After the electoral commission banned previous telangana DGP Anjani Kumar for breaking the then-current Model Code of Conduct, IPS ravi Gupta was named interim DGP in december of last year.
 
In december, the departing telangana administration of the BRS named Kumar, who was formerly the commissioner of police in Hyderabad, as DGP.

IPS After being moved, ravi Gupta was appointed Special Chief Secretary to the government.
