Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi party, served as the Defense minister of the government of India, Member of Parliament, and chief minister of Uttar Pradesh for three consecutive terms. Mulayam Singh's son akhilesh yadav succeeded his father as the 21st chief minister of UP. Akhilesh's wife Dimple Yadav is currently in Main Puri. She won a lok sabha seat and became a Member of Parliament. Dimple gained a good reputation among the UP youth with her beauty and eloquence and jumped into politics as a sister-in-law to her uncle. She previously served two terms as a lok sabha member from Kannauj and one term from Mainpuri Lok Sabha. Dimple met akhilesh yadav when she was a student.
