BRS mla and former minister T harish rao demanded that chief minister A revanth reddy direct his attention to the State's worsening law and order situation, pointing out that the police's inadequacies were to blame for the rising crime rate. He added that the chief minister, who was in charge of law and order, seldom reviewed the state of law and order.

Telangana's status as a peaceful state contributed to the investments it has received during the past ten years. However, the current situation was out of the ordinary for Telangana. The state of law and order had collapsed. During the previous eight months, the State received reports of up to 500 killings. Following the Assembly's discussion of the matter, hyderabad City added two additional killings to the list. The chief minister was supposed to assess the worsening situation with the police, but he had neglected to do so.

Harish Rao warned that this would affect the investments coming into the State as well and that, if the current state of affairs in the State was any indicator, the reputation of hyderabad and the State would be at risk. He demanded actions to firmly suppress the anti-social groups in order to restore peace and normalcy to the State.
