Rescue efforts are hampered in Mundakai due to blocked roads and unstable terrain. A total of 250 personnel from fire and Rescue, Civil Defence, NDRF, and local teams are working in Chooralmala.

Although the landslides occurred last night, reports indicate that rescue teams have still not reached some areas. The kerala government is making every effort to reach and rescue affected individuals. Ministers have already arrived in wayanad and are visiting those in hospitals.”
