The Institute of Chartered Accountants of india stirred up a scandal that put Tribhuvan Mishra, CA Topper, in the news. This program, which stars manav kaul and Tillotama Shome, Shubhrajyoti Barat, naina Sareen, Shweta Basu, priyanka Das, and others, was created by Puneet Krishna, the man behind Mirzapur. Despite the criticism from ICAI, it has garnered a lot of attention since its July 18 Netflix release. Even though ICAI isn't mentioned in the show specifically, they still pursue it.

In a complaint, ICAI stated that the program misled candidates for the CA by portraying a CA Topper in an unfavourable way. In reality, a CA topper in the program has to deal with financial difficulties because of the bank's recession. Tribhuvan Mishra, an otherwise honest man, secretly takes up a gigolo part-time employment. The ICAI feels that students' expectations are being misled by portraying a CA topper in such a way and by misinterpreting concepts related to the profession, such as services given and credit and debit.

However, how equitable is the show's censorship? It is required of series creators to provide audiences with storylines that offer a distinctive experience. Given that the show has been available for viewing for over two weeks, ICAI's attempts to have Netflix remove it are completely futile. Should their beliefs prove to be accurate, the harm has already been done! We wouldn't have munna Bhai MBBS, Rocket Singh, Jolly LLB, Kabir Singh, and many more if every profession closely examined a movie or television show centred around it.
