Bollywood is preparing for a record-breaking season by releasing a number of films at different times to capitalise on the august holidays. Independence Day is celebrated on august 15 and is followed by Parsi New Year on august 16, which creates a joyous environment. There will be another chance for families to see a movie together the weekend of august 17–18.

Raksha Bandhan on august 19 and Janmashtami on august 26 round off the holiday season, guaranteeing a steady demand for entertainment. This run of holidays, along with regular weekends, created the ideal conditions for the best box office run in memory. The original release date of Allu Arjun's pushpa 2 was august 15. On its first day, even the most cautious trade analysts predicted a big launch, with a net collection of 60 crores in Hindi.

Positive word-of-mouth predicted that the movie will surpass 400 crore in 10 days, causing a storm at the box office. With the potential to break all previous records for a telugu film dubbed in Hindi, pushpa 2's release date couldn't have come at a better time. Sadly, pushpa 2 has been rescheduled until december 6, albeit there are concerns about even this new date due to shooting delays. The august 15 release date was a great chance that is unlikely to come up again, so losing it is important.

For years to come, allu arjun may lament this lost opportunity as it was his best chance to seize the ideal window of release and become one of the greatest heroes in India—and he did so without SS Rajamouli's help. Concurrently, puri Jagan's pan-Indian movie Double iSmart is being released on 15 august along with other movies like stree 2, Khel Khel Mein, and Vedaa.
