Following her comeback to ap politics, YS sharmila has been disparaging and scolding her brother, YS Jagan. In several instances, her criticism has been more forceful than the TDP's, and she has persisted in doing so even after the elections. As if Jagan's struggles with the TDP's pressure weren't enough, his sister sharmila keeps getting in the way of him. 

Both jagan and the leaders of the YSRCP are dissatisfied, feeling that he ought to be taking on the ruling administration. sharmila keeps on, even though jagan answers her tweets and comments on his social media accounts. sharmila has been furiously tweeting at her brother for the last two days. As a result, a YSRCP handle referring to sharmila as Chandrababu's goon has gained a lot of attention.

The YSRCP social media staff has been charged by sharmila of having a fear of CBN. She mockingly said that YSRCP members would see CBN's picture if they looked in the mirror. When YS jagan failed to show up for the Assembly, she blasted him to step down as an MLA. By declaring that Y stands for YV Subba Reddy, S for Sai Reddy, and R for Rama krishna Reddy, she has redefined the YSRCP and impliedly removed ysr from the equation. Even after the elections, there doesn't appear to be any immediate political gain for sharmila from criticising YS Jagan. There are rumours that she worries that jagan might team up with the india alliance.
