There was a lot of action on Day 5 of the current paris Olympics 2024, with the indian delegation competing in shooting, boxing, badminton, table tennis, archery, and equestrian sports. pv sindhu, Lakshya Sen, and HS Prannoy all won their badminton matches to secure spots in the round of 16. However, india suffered grief in table tennis as sreeja Akula and Manika Batra lost in the round of 16.
 

For indian fans, it was a mixed day at the shooting. In the men's 50m rifle 3 position qualification, Swapnil Kusale secured a spot in the final by finishing seventh. Star shooter Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, however, had a different experience as she placed 11th in the qualification event and was eliminated. On Day 2, Shreyasi Singh and Rajeshwari Kumari placed 23rd and 22nd, respectively, in the women's trap qualifying. Lovlina Borgohain and Nishant Dev advanced to the quarterfinals of the boxing competition after winning their respective round of 16 matches. After winning her women's solo round of 32 match and making it to the round of 16, deepika Kumari knew it was time for atonement in the sport of archery.
 

Medals will be awarded for a variety of events throughout the first part of Day 6. On Thursday, the men's 20km race walk final will include Akshdeep, Vikash, and Paramjeet Singh, marking the start of India's campaign. priyanka Goswami, from india, will compete in the women's race walk final during the first part of the competition. In badminton, the men's singles badminton round of 16 will feature a titanic match between HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen, both indian players matched against one other. At 1:00 PM IST, Swapnil Kusale will compete in the men's 50-meter rifle 3-position final, where he hopes to win a medal. Nikhat Zareen's women's 50kg round of 16 match will conclude the first half, and then there will be some archery action for India. Sift Kaur Samra and Anjum Moudgil will compete in the women's 50m 3 position rifle qualifying in addition to the men's rifle positions final.
 
The highlight of Day 6's second half will be sailor vishnu Saravanan's event, which will be followed by Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty's quarterfinal badminton men's doubles match.
