The UPSC on wednesday dismissed the nomination of Puja Khedkar, a trainee indian Administrative service (IAS) officer, and pune collector suhas Diwase has refuted her allegations of harassment. Khedkar's accusations were described by Diwase as "nonsensical" and "made as an afterthought" to the indian Express. Diwase's report to the maharashtra government regarding Khedkar's alleged misbehaviour during her probationary period set in motion a series of events that culminated in the cancellation of her candidature.

From june 3 to june 14, she worked at the district collector's office. I only had three encounters with her over this period, and each one was with my cops and attorneys. She was employed by the Divisional Commissioner's office after june 14,” he stated.

The probationary official made no allegations when she was assigned to the district, the pune collector said.

"She made no such claim (of harassment) in her letter to the state administration in response to my findings. It wasn't until after she was moved to Washim that the problem surfaced, according to Diwase.

The Union Public service Commission (UPSC) prohibited Khedkar from participating in any examinations held by the commission due to her many attempts in the civil services test, in addition to cancelling her candidacy in the 2022 Civil services Examination (CSE).

Khedkar has accused the media of conducting a "witch-hunt" against her. She is accused of submitting "false" handicap and Other Backward Class (OBC) certifications, as well as acting in a "VVIP" manner during her training.
