Wayanad Landslide kills 40 people in one family...

While more than 300 people have died in the landslides caused by the wild floods in wayanad, the incident of 40 members of the same family being trapped in the landslides has created a sensation. Nature has once again shown its cruel face in Kerala, known as God's own country. More than 300 people have been killed in the unprecedented landslide, while the condition of 250 people is still unknown. In the early morning of last 30th, Mundakkai, Suralmalai, and Meppadi villages in wayanad were destroyed. people who have lived happily with nature have been blessed by nature itself.
The landslide that occurred in the middle of the night killed many people buried in the ground before they knew what was happening. Thousands of people were trapped in three successive landslides. So far, 320 bodies have been recovered by the rescue forces, and the status of hundreds more remains unknown. Human bodies have been recovered in many places. A lot of school children have lost their lives due to this landslide. As the condition of the parents of the dead children is also unknown, the identification of the children is being done by the teachers of the nearby school. While there were reports of 15 deaths and 9 people in the same family, now the landslide has claimed the lives of 40 people, including brothers, and sisters from the same family. Regarding the loss of these 40 lives, Nasser Yakar Malka, who runs a tailor shop in the Mundakkai area, said, The rain which started on the 29th, intensified on the 30th at midnight. Then his whole house was surrounded by water. As a result, he woke up from sleep and was shocked to see the water coming into the houses. It made him realize that something bad was about to happen. So he immediately woke up his wife and children from their sleep and gathered them at a nearby mountain resort.In the next few minutes, there was a landslide with a terrible noise. When he saw the place after a few hours, his house was gone and his brothers and sisters who lived nearby were missing a total of 40 people. All the houses in that area were ground level. Nasser said that only six bodies have been recovered so far. Similarly in wayanad, many people are suffering after losing their properties.
