Using cutting-edge technology and dogs, rescue workers resumed their hunt for survivors or recovered dead buried beneath the rubble of the devastating wayanad landslides, one of Kerala's greatest natural disasters, on saturday as they began their fifth day of search and rescue operations. 1. A total of 210 dead have been retrieved from the wayanad landslides, while 187 hospital patients have been released. About 300 persons are still unaccounted for, and there is little chance that they are still alive.

5. One of the operation's officials said that during a check of a residence in the badly damaged Mundakkai village, a "blue signal," or possible breath indication, appeared on the radar. But on friday night, the search was called off because the rescue workers thought it was improbable that anyone was still alive beneath the rubble.

6. For wayanad on saturday, the india Meteorological Department has predicted a mostly cloudy sky with sporadic showers or thundershowers.
