Mamata Banerjee's defeat by Suvendu Adhikari..!?

* Leaders who have won over strong politicians.

* Everyone is shocked by mamata Banerjee's defeat.

* What is the reason behind Suvendu Adhikari's greatest win?

It is known that TMC chief and West bengal cm mamata banerjee lost to bjp leader Suvendu Adhikari in the 2021 assembly elections. The greatest politician lost by a margin of 1,957 votes. Elsewhere her party opened up but in Nandigram, the TMC was defeated. Defeating a chief ministerial candidate is not an easy task. In particular, mamata must be a very strong leader to defeat any dynamic leader. Suvendu Adhikari built a nest in the hearts of the people of Nandigram and that is why he was able to win.
In fact, Suvendu has been the right hand of TMC chief mamata Banerjee. She remained a member of trinamool congress from 1998 to 2020. Suvendu Adhikari was very disappointed when mamata handed over the TMC leadership to her nephew abhishek Banerjee. Moreover, he left the party and joined the BJP. mamata banerjee was very angry with that and wanted to defeat him in any way and politically destroy him. That is why they competed in Nandigram in 2021 like never before. Suvendu has been winning as mla from that constituency. He did not fear that mamata would contest here. They wanted to defeat her and become the chief minister on behalf of the BJP. He also cursed and said that he would win with a huge majority of votes, otherwise he would take political asceticism. But he succeeded in defeating her but could not become the chief minister of Bengal.

Mamata Banerjee's political journey began by defeating somnath chatterjee in the 1984 lok sabha elections. After founding the trinamool congress, she led the movement against land acquisition in Nandigram in 2007, which eventually ousted the Left in 2011. She was contesting from Bhabanipur, Suvendu Adhikari's family in Nandigram had earned a reputation and affection. However, mamata tried hard to win over Suvendu in Nandigram. She knew he had a lot of support among the people. Nandigram is predominantly Hindu with around 2.75 lakh voters. Suvendu used "Jai Shri Ram" slogans and temple visits to rally support. In the end, he won but it was only by a narrow margin. But winning against such a strong chief ministerial candidate is not an ordinary thing. If he had lost, his political career would have ended.
