Glam queen samantha appears to be choosing her movie selections based on advice from bollywood directors. "When she was approached for a similar kind of number in 'Pushpa The Rule,' she cited date issues and was advised against doing special numbers like 'Oo Antava,'" the source said. He says that habitual bollywood collaborators have allegedly counseled her to stick to making heroine-focused films to maintain her appeal and brand value.

"There's no need to groove for another chartbuster just for the sake of it," he continues, "unless she truly feels that the item song in 'Pushpa The Rule' comes up really exciting enough and it has better reach than the previous one, she could consider."

Samantha is holding her horses and would wait for a truly thrilling and foot-tapping number to wear her dancing shoes again, even though her colleague tamannaah is performing item songs and increasing the bar on special numbers. "She is turning down offers from filmmakers who are willing to pay her over Rs 3 crore for a song, saying that her current goal is to get some mileage in bollywood with shows like 'Honey Bunny,' and another one that directors raj and DK have announced," he notes.

She will thus be doing more female-focused films; in fact, she recently released the movie "Bangaram," in which she plays an author-endorsed part. He ends, by saying, "She could carry a film on her shoulders these days."
