Following the merger of Viacom 18 and Star india, it will emerge as one of the world's leading sports enterprises, sharing the streaming rights to multiple cricket competitions, including the Pro Kabaddi League, the indian Premier League, and the indian International Bilateral Series.

All that remains to be done is wait for the CCI Competition Commission of india to approve the merger. It is anticipated that the merger will be finalised by october if the competition inspector grants approval. Additionally, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has already been tasked with making a final verdict in the merger dispute involving both corporations.
 
Streaming services have already begun to provide their opinions on the merger to the CCI. If all goes according to plan, Viacom 18 and Star india will collaborate starting in october, and they might end up becoming the best sports business globally. Additionally, Viacom 18 and Star india would have a combined audience of over 750 million people nationwide. if this partnership turns into a sports streaming monopoly.
