9 children died when temple wall collapsed due to heavy rain...


The authorities in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district reported that a temple wall fell on sunday morning, killing nine youngsters and possibly trapping dozens more. The kids were buried behind the wall's rubble when it fell. According to Sagar district Collector deepak Arya, all of the debris has been removed from the scene of the tragedy, although some children are still receiving medical attention. After constant rain damaged the structure's foundation, the incident happened on Sunday morning at about 8:30 a.m. Around 8:30 am, the incident took place. Nine children perished and two are receiving medical attention at the hospital as a result of the wall collapsing on them," the district collector stated.

According to an official, the event happened at a religious program in Shahpur village, which is under the Rehli assembly seat. Nine youngsters, ages ten to fifteen, perished in the wall collapse. According to india Today, the incident happened at the Hardayal temple, whose walls date back more than fifty years. At the temple, the wall gave way when earthen shivlings were being built for the Sawan celebrations. Images from the scene showed bulldozers sifting through the rubble to free the trapped kids and police officers encircling the area. This happened the day before, in the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, when the wall of an abandoned building fell, trapping four youngsters beneath the debris and killing them.

Mohan Yadav, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, announced an ex gratia payment of ₹2 lakh to each of the families of the children who were harmed in the terrible incident. Two individuals were taken into custody in Rewa in relation to the saturday building collapse event. The building's owners, the two, were the subject of a case filed under the applicable portions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
