Filmfare Awards South: Huge win-Mammootty, Vikram,Chithha!

In Hyderabad, the 69th SOBHA Filmfare Awards South 2024 celebrated the finest malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, and tamil films of 2023. Many of the award recipients weren't just "regional" stars; rather, they were pan-Indian stars, as South indian film is becoming more and more well-known both domestically and internationally.

Gayathri Bharadwaj, Saniya Iyappan, and aparna balamurali gave outstanding performances during the awards ceremony, which was hosted by Faria Abdullah, Sundeep Kishan, and Vindhya Vishaka.

There were several touching moments in the evening, such as when nani appeared on stage to present srikanth Odela and Shouryuv with the Best Debut director prizes for their movies, dasara and Hi Nanna. Actor Mahmmootty's speech after winning his 15th Filmfare award for Best Actor was another bittersweet occasion. He talked about how the happiness he was feeling was really eclipsed by the sorrow he was feeling because of the Wannad landslides in Kerala, which had claimed a significant number of lives and livelihoods.

While dasara, Balagam, and Baby emerged victorious in Telugu, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello emerged victorious in Kannada. In tamil, ponniyin selvan 2 and Chittha shared the victory, whereas the winners in malayalam were more diverse.
