Best Actor and Best Actress are two of the most anticipated categories at the 69th SOBHA Filmfare Awards South 2024 presented by Kamar Film Factory. Regarding the telugu cinema industry, nani and Keerthy suresh received the highest accolades. In the action-thriller dasara, they portrayed the lead role.

Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male) nominees were anand deverakonda for Baby, balakrishna for Bhagavanth Kesari, chiranjeevi for Waltair Veerayya, dhanush for Sir, nani for dasara and Hi Nanna, naveen polishetty for Miss Shetty, Mr. Polishetty and prakash raj for Ranga Maarthaanda. On the other hand, Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) nominees were anushka shetty for Miss Shetty, Mr. Polishetty, Keerthy suresh for dasara, Mrunal Thakur for Hi Nanna, samantha for Shaakuntalam and Vaishnavi chaitanya for Baby.
 

Keerthy Suresh's casting in dasara was discussed by the director in an interview with the india Herald. He remarked, "I aggressively scouted for a telugu girl for eight months." Ordinary folks balked at being in the movie when I contacted them. I looked everywhere for a telugu girl, but even nani Anna approved of the idea. Keerthy has even been dubbed for the film, demonstrating her enormous gripping capacity.
