IC814: The Kandahar Hijack, directed by anubhav sinha of the Mulk, Article 14, and Thappad fame, is almost here. The limited series will be based on the longest-ever airline hijacking in India, which left 188 indian nationals detained at gunpoint. "188 onboard, and the entire nation held at gunpoint" is how Netflix described the official trailer in its caption.

Starring with Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Manoj Pahwa, and dia mirza are brilliant performers, including vijay varma as the IC814 plane's captain. The stories of many airline hijacks that startled our country have previously been depicted in films like Bell Bottom, Neerja, and Kandahar. The series appears to be intense based on the trailer that Netflix published today. On the one side, it is encircled by bureaucracy and politics; on the other, there are 188 individuals, including the pilot and crew, attempting to survive in the face of a terrorist organisation.

Benaras Mediaworks and Matchbox Shots are supporting the series. Fans of such true story retellings are giddy with anticipation for this series. It will be intriguing to see if the program adds something novel to the frequently copied genre. After the show premieres on Netflix on august 29, reviewers and fans will evaluate the performers and plot.
