The department, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, and the minister of civil supplies met for a crucial evaluation of the ration rice distribution vans and mobile Dispensary Units (MDUs) earlier today. The meeting was headed by Nara Chandrababu Naidu. According to department officials and the state's minister of civil supplies, Nadendla Manohar, MDUs only cause losses for the government.

It was said that MDUs all around the state would soon be cancelled by the administration. In the meanwhile, chandrababu naidu requested that the minister and the authorities come up with a plan to pay off the outstanding debt on the MDU cars. The minister pointed out that the YCP's door-to-door ration rice delivery program through MDUs is losing money.

He clarified that the vans were halting at the end of the street and dispersing the rice ration from there, rather than delivering the rice from door to home. Manohar said that as part of this door-to-door ration rice distribution system, the previous administration spent Rs. 1,844 crores to buy 9,260 cars. The minister briefed the cm on how ycp leaders had improperly exploited these cars to carry grains out of the state. The chief minister, chandrababu naidu, announced that a conference will be convened shortly to deliberate on the state's ration dealers' use.
