Thousands of angry protestors stormed Bangladesh's parliament building on Monday, august 5, causing chaotic visuals to flood social media. Moments after they forcefully removed elected prime minister Sheikh Hasina (76) and forced her to leave the nation for her safety, demonstrators earlier ransacked prime minister Sheikh Hasina's official home, Ganabhaban, in Dhaka.

Protesters were celebrating Sheikh Hasina's departure from the nation when they broke the military curfew and assembled in huge numbers near the country's parliament building, a renowned symbol of democracy. Large protesting groups targeted the parliament building and committed acts of damage, according to images from many viral videos that originated in Bangladesh.

The video shows that the rioters broke into the parliament building and began to damage the property. A few of the rioters were seen smoking and relaxing on parliament chairs with their feet propped up on the tables in some of the images and videos that were making the rounds on social media.

Additionally, hundreds of demonstrators were visible demonstrating in front of the chairs and desks designated for members of parliament as well as the furniture used for legislative sessions. Most of the rioters were also observed using their phones to record the incident. Some of the films also show smoke plumes within the parliament building. Papers that seemed to be official documentation from routine legislative sessions or legislations were also visible on the parliament floor in several of the films.
