This week's box office performance has been rather lacklustre for all sectors, with malayalam, tamil, Tollywood, and bollywood films all falling short. Ulajh and Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, the most recent bollywood films, have carried on the tradition of underwhelming performances.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, starring ajay devgn, and Ulajh, starring Janhvi Kapoor, both had terrible word of mouth and very bad reviews. Ulajh, which experienced a little uptick in revenues on saturday and grossed 1.75 crores after debuting at 1.35 crores on Friday, is the latest in Janhvi Kapoor's string of box office failures.

Mein Kahan Dum Auron After Maidaan's failure, Tha fell flat on its second day, earning barely 1.75 crores for a total of 3.5 crores in two days. This pointed to yet another catastrophe for ajay Devgn. Inconveniently, the movie will never even gross 10 crore in its lifetime—a far cry from the days before the epidemic, when leading stars hardly ever made films this bad. Both akshay kumar and ajay devgn have experienced similar embarrassing setbacks since the outbreak.

Ajay Devgn's 2024 has been quite the ride; Shaitaan, which surprised everyone by earning 151 crore, did well at the box office, while Maidaan, which had a lot of trouble, finished horribly at 53 crore. It would now be difficult for Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha to earn even 15 crores. The situation is as dire in Tollywood. The industry is in a terrible place as seen by the recent releases of shivam Bhaje, Teddy, Alnati Rama Chandrudu, and Tiragabadara Saami, which combined will fail to gross over 2 crores net over the weekend. This week witnessed lacklustre releases in the malayalam and tamil sectors as well.
