The French pole vaulter, who became well-known after his Olympic performance was interrupted by a malfunctioning wardrobe, has now signed a hefty sponsorship agreement. According to The New York Post, Anthony Ammirati went viral after missing his 5.70-meter mark in the olympics in paris due to his bulge.

Even if Ammirati's trip lost him a berth in the finals, he can now make the most of his Olympic experience. The adult entertainment website CamSoda has made a $250,000 (more than Rs2 crore) sponsorship offer to the French pole vaulter. "If it were up to me, I'd award Anthony Ammirati for what everyone else saw - talent below the belt," CamSoda vice president Daryn Parker said to TMZ.

On august 3, Anthony Ammirati's pole collapsed, shattering his hopes of competing in the Olympics. The sad incident video, which showed his pole getting tangled with the bar, went viral very fast. Consequently, the French athlete finished 12th in his group and was unable to participate in the finals.

“It’s a big disappointment,” Ammirati told the French Athletics Federation.

“I’m a bit gutted because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70m. What I did miss was a bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session.”

“I was 100 percent physically, but I was missing a bit of pole vault,” Ammirati explained.
