Lower berth is only for them! - Action taken by Railways!

A window seat is the first choice for those who want to travel by train. Perhaps if it turns out to be a night trip then their preferred travel option is the lower birth. indian Railways used to ask for their berth while booking the ticket. Now this situation has changed. It has to be said that many young people occupied the lower berths and the elderly and pregnant women were struggling to get lower berths. But this situation has changed now.

Lower Berth or Side Lower Berth is the first choice of lakhs of passengers who book trains. Because it is a window seat and convenient for boarding and disembarking, many people opt for it while booking.

But like confirming and booking our seats in buses, we are not given the seats we want in trains. Reservations and seats for each passenger are ensured by following the criteria for filling the trainsHowever, most people who ask for a lower berth earlier will be granted it. But the railways have made new rules as to who will get the lower berth from now on.

In particular, the indian Railways said that differently-abled persons will be given priority in the lower berth. It has announced that this decision has been taken to make the travel of disabled persons more comfortable and accordingly, 4 seats will be reserved in the sleeper class.

Also, indian Railways has announced that 2-tier and 3-tier AC coaches will have 2 seats each reserved for disabled persons and their accompanying passengers.

It has been informed that senior citizens will be allotted 6 to 7 lower berths in sleeper classes, 4 to 5 lower berths in 3-tier AC coaches and 3 to 4 lower berths in 2-tier AC coaches on a priority basis like disabled persons.

Also, lower berth will be reserved for pregnant women. The indian Railways said that although upper berths may be reserved for senior citizens and pregnant women, they can approach the ticket inspector and get a lower berth.
