Priya Bhavani shankar most recently starred in the much awaited Shankar-directed movie indian 2. At the box office, the film was an enormous failure. Due to the film's terrible performance, priya, who portrayed Siddharth's buddy in a supporting part, faced a great deal of criticism. priya said recently in an interview that it was a big thing for her to work with a filmmaker as renowned as Shankar. She was extensively trolling instead of receiving more offers, as she had assumed the film's popularity would bring.

She expressed her regret to the crowd for falling short of their expectations and clarified that any actress would be honoured to collaborate with shankar and Kamal Haasan. It appears unreasonable to hold priya bhavani shankar responsible for the movie's failure, given that Shankar's screenplay and directing are mostly to blame.
 
That kind of funding should have meant a strong script, but it wasn't. Even the renowned actor kamal haasan delivered his worst performance. It is thus impossible to expect priya bhavani shankar to perform well in a movie with subpar script and directing. With indian 2, director shankar drew harsh criticism, and rightfully so. shankar has not yet responded to the critical comments. There are doubts regarding the box office performance of his next movie, Game Changer, given the negative reviews of indian 2.
