After petrol, now ethanol will be mixed in diesel!!!

After petrol in india, now plans are being made to mix ethanol in diesel as well. The government is evaluating a new plan for this, after which it will be possible to mix ethanol in diesel like petrol. Such a claim is being made in the news.

Petrol target will be achieved in two years

According to a report by the Times of india, after getting close to achieving the target of mixing 20 percent ethanol in petrol, the government is also looking to mix ethanol in diesel. The target set by the government to blend 20 percent ethanol in petrol is expected to be achieved in the next 2 years.

Evaluation of this proposal is going on

The report claims that the government has received a proposal regarding blending ethanol in diesel. This proposal was given to the government in the Prime Minister's office last week. During that time, all the concerned ministries were present in the Prime Minister's Office. This proposal is to add 5% ethanol to diesel. The Times of india report quoted government officials as saying that the proposal will be evaluated now, after which the government will take a decision.

Quantity increased to more than 15% in petrol

The government has received this proposal at a time when the ratio of ethanol blending in petrol crossed 15% for the first time in the month of May. The government is trying to increase the amount of ethanol in fuels like diesel and petrol for two reasons. On the one hand, this helps in reducing the damage caused to the environment due to pollution. On the other hand, due to reduced consumption of diesel and petrol, the country's dependence on crude oil imports also decreases.

Ethanol production is continuously increasing

For this reason, the government has prepared an ethanol blending program, under which the production of ethanol is being encouraged across the country. Recently, with the encouragement from the government, producers have increased the production of ethanol in the country, which has helped the government to increase the amount of ethanol in petrol to more than 15 percent. Now with the policy of mixing 5% ethanol in diesel, the consumption of ethanol is going to increase further.
