Regarding the creation of the South Coast Railway (SCoR) zone, which will have its headquarters in Visakhapatnam, the Union Ministry of Railways provided an important update. ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union minister of Railways, declared that land will shortly be set aside for the building of the railway zone's headquarters.

He said that the andhra pradesh government and the Ministry of Railways are in continual communication on this project. Additionally, he mentioned that he frequently speaks with Kinjarapu ram mohan Rao, the Union minister of Civil Aviation, on this railway zone. Water stagnation was a problem on the site that was originally designated for the SCoR headquarters' development. As a result, the government is currently assigning a new location for the building. Back in 2019, the national government made a vow to create a distinct Visakhapatnam Railway Zone, but it was never kept.

The establishment of this railway zone had previously received funding from the national government, but because to problems with land distribution under jagan Mohan Reddy's administration, work on the project was put on hold. But things are moving swiftly now that the nda is in power at both the state and federal levels, and the railway zone could soon become a reality. Now that the land distribution is almost finished, uttarandhra residents anticipate that work will move quickly.
