In honour of Mahesh Babu's birthday, the 2001 masterpiece murari was recently rereleased in theatres, thrilling fans. But the re-release has also brought forth a few surprising and contentious developments. A number of young couples exchanged vows during the movie showing, according to videos making the rounds on social media. Friends of the newlyweds were seen dousing them with "Akshintalu" as part of the wedding custom in one video, which instantly went viral. It's unclear if these marriages were real or merely attention-getting performances.

The film's director, krishna Vamsi, became aware of the occurrence and responded with dismay and outrage. Vamsi, who values customs much, voiced his worry that these kinds of actions make light of revered marriage customs. He asked people to respect and not make fun of the rich cultural legacy and customs. "This is not right," said vamsi in a social media post. Our wonderful culture and traditions should not be disparaged, mistreated, or made fun of. I implore you, please, please don't do this.

This event highlights a troubling tendency that is becoming more widespread: people will go to great lengths to gain attention on social media and briefly gain notoriety. For instance, in another video, an old couple could be seen sharing a kiss throughout the movie, which many felt was disrespectful and indecent. Fans that behave excessively violate cultural norms and customs and encourage others to partake in similar public nuisance activities in the future. These behaviours create a poor example. It's critical to rejoice and have fun without going too far in order to preserve cultural legacy and societal morality.
