A major train accident was averted at Itarsi railway station in Madhya Pradesh. Two coaches of a passenger train derailed here. According to the information, the summer special train (01663) going from mysore to rani Kamalapati derailed on the platform itself.

There is no report of any casualty in this accident. The summer special train was just entering the platform of Itarsi Junction when two AC coaches B-1 and B-2 derailed. The passengers were terrified due to the sudden strong push. As soon as the matter came to light, local railway officials reached the spot and efforts to control the people began. Soon the passengers were taken out of the coaches.

Now is the time to raise our voice and demand safe rail travel."
