Bengaluru Resident Urges Empathy Towards hindi Speakers:

A person from Bengaluru shared a sad event on Reddit, asking people to be kind and understanding to them from the hindi language belt. The incident, which took place in the city's isro setup, involved a North indian pineapple supplier facing a customer's ire for not knowing the local language.
"Can we do better?" wrote a Bangalorean in Reddit's "Bangalore" forum. In this post, the user talked about a recent incident. The incident happened after a Redditor bought a pineapple from a North indian vendor in the city's isro facility. A woman approached the seller and asked the price of the pineapples. "40 ka ek [a piece of 40 rupees]" and "100 ka 3 [100 rupees for three pieces]," replied the seller. The woman, not knowing him, asked him to repeat the words several times. Then the Redditor intervened and explained in kannada what the customer was saying.
Instead of thanking the Redditor or placing an order, the woman accused the customer of not knowing Kannada. The customer responded by apologizing and explaining that he was only in town for a week and was about to learn the language.
After the Reddit post was taken down, one person said, “Everyone in Bangalore is sad these days. What happens to a bad customer? There are no tools to learn a new language. North indians can do the least. "The behavior of the upper class."
