Yamuna water near warning level on old railway bridge…

It has been raining heavily every day in the capital delhi for the last few days, while waterlogging has occurred at many places. At the same time, to ensure that delhi does not have to face a flood-like situation, Irrigation and Flood Control minister Saurabh Bhardwaj inspected all the preparations along with officials of the Flood Control Department and Revenue Department. He said that people living on the banks of yamuna need to be very careful right now.

According to a PTI report, Saurabh Bhardwaj has attributed the rising water level in yamuna to the release of water into the river from Haryana's Hathini Kund Barrage. Saurabh said on tuesday that the water level of the river at the old railway bridge has reached 204.35 meters while the warning level is 204.5 meters. minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that currently about 10,000 to 13,000 cusecs of water is being released from Hathinikund Barrage.

An announcement will be made to stay away from the river

At the same time, the delhi government has appealed to the people to stay away from the yamuna river and especially advised children not to go near the river. An announcement will be made from tuesday to not go near the river and not to swim. Saurabh said that boats will be arranged if needed. The irrigation and flood control and revenue departments have completed preparations for rescue operations.

Rescue operation will start if needed

Saurabh said that if the river reaches the danger mark, then a rescue operation will be started to send people to safe places. He said that the concerned departments have made preparations to avoid flood conditions like last monsoon. The obstacles to the flow of the river have been removed. Let us tell you that last year during the monsoon season, flood conditions had arisen in delhi and water had entered people's homes. Even in the Civil Lines area, water entered people's houses and they had to leave their homes and go to safer places.
