Independence Day: indian National Flag's history!!!

The physical embodiment of our nation's identitythe indian flag symbolizes india as a democratic republic with full sovereignty. From the walls of red Fort to a cricket stadium, the sight of our national flag, which is highly revered, floating in the wind fills us with pride. Inspired by a sense of national unity, hearts beat in unison with the national colors. The national flag of India is a representation of the country's might, pride in its people, and authentic indian spirit. Let's examine the national flag's origins and history on this Independence Day:

Significance of the Colors

Three colors are displayed in a symmetrical horizontal orientation on the indian flag. We refer to the wide horizontal stripes as bands. The flag's uppermost band, saffron, represents the bravery and power of India. The bottom dark green band illustrates our natural relationship to the fertile land and represents growth and auspiciousness, while the middle white band symbolizes serenity and truth. The Wheel of Dharma, also known as the Ashoka Chakra, is centered in the middle white ring and has 24 spokes. It conveys the idea that growth and movement are essential to existence, and that stagnation is a sign of death. The wheel illustrates the value of motion, suggesting that india should always advance and not fight change.

The past

Pingali Venkayya created the current flag's design in 1921. However, since the creation of the first national flag in 1906, india has had several revisions of the flag. It developed during the course of talks, debates, and independence movements.
